Green Fluorescent Proteins, or GFPs for short, are a category of light-emitting proteins that have played key roles in many scientific discoveries since the 1960’s. I have wanted to write a blog post about GFP for a while now, and in my research, I encountered articles that perfectly describe GFP and their history, development, and use in scientific research. I will thus be linking these sources in this post for anyone interested in the topic!
